The Paddison Memorial Branch Library in Kernersville, North Carolina, is a 20,000-square-foot facility completed in 2018, serving as a modern community and educational hub. Designed by Steven M. Lloyd as Architect of Record, the library integrates contemporary aesthetics with functional, flexible spaces for children, teens, and adults. Features include a 150-seat auditorium, makerspace with high- and low-tech tools, public meeting rooms, and collaborative study areas, all enhanced by natural light and open layouts. Harmonizing with downtown Kernersville’s historic character, the project combines civic presence, innovative design, and community-driven functionality.
